Spencer was adopted through
American Lab Rescue by a
family in Torrington 4-months
ago. He’s from Tennessee and
was only here 2-weeks when he
got away from his new parents.
He’s been missing for almost 4-
months! He’s VERY scared – has
no bond with anyone in CT since
he was only here 2-weeks when
he ran away. The rescuers from
TN have flown here twice to help
look for him since he does have a
bond with them. They’re actually
here now and they have even
shipped his best doggy friend up
here this time too because they
thought he could find his scent!
They’re trying desperately to find
him.
He’s very nervous, hates
thunderstorms, and is all alone in
the woods. He even still has his
leash attached to him from 4-
months ago!! They know he’s still
in the Torrington area because
they’ve seen track marks with a
leash trail and because he’s been
spotted several times! He was
even just seen YESTERDAY
MORNING. But he’s very scared
and runs away when you call his
name or chase him. He’s been
spotted often (just yesterday
even) in the areas of Grove,
Calhoun and Elm Streets in
Torrington. His name is Spencer
and he’s a black lab mix with a
bushy tail and a leash attached!
He will run away if you try to
approach/chase him as he is SO
scared. If you see him, talk softly,
do not chase him, try to enclose
him in a fenced yard, he LOVES
hot dogs and he likes women
better then men! And please call
